Appearance: Miyako, at twenty, is five feet eleven inches, and weighs about a hundred and twenty-five pounds. She has long purple hair that she usually wears in a very simple style, simply brushed and kept out of her brown eyes. More often than not, she will wear something over her hair, be it a hat or a helmet or a kerchief of some kind. When she was younger, she wore long skirts and shirts most of the time, clothing which was practical and modest. Those still are her preferred fashions, but these days they also tend to come with a theme of birds or flying, to reflect her connection to Hawkmon and her love of flying with him. She also wears thick glasses, preferring those over contact lenses, as they aren't as difficult and annoying to take care of in her opinion.

Personality: Miyako is enthusiastic and generous and on occasion short-tempered. She wants to believe in people. She can be very focused on something, sometimes to the point where she ignores what's actually going on around her. She's tried to get better about that over the years, but it still crops up quite a bit. She also likes attention on herself, and some of her enthusiasm and attraction to people who are somehow out of the ordinary comes from that. There are also times when she is so true to her own feelings and open about them that she can hurt other people's feelings without realizing it. That is also something she has tried to deal with, though once in a while it will show up.

Abilities/Strengths: Miyako has some hacking ability, and is incredibly curious as well, which can lead her into interesting situations. One of her strengths is also her enthusiasm, and the fact she reacts to situations very, very quickly. She can adjust in almost record amounts of time, regardless of what's going on.

Notable Posssessions: Her D-Terminal and D-3, both of which are pretty much useless in Econtra. Also a skateboard she can use as a weapon to hit people with.

Weaknesses: Miyako's enthusiasm and her impulsiveness are strengths, but they are also weaknesses at the same time, as she can jump into a situation without learning about it fully first. This has plagued her since she was young, and she's worked hard to overcome it, but still...sometimes, it'll happen anyway. She also tends to be fascinated by people who are just somehow 'shinier' than others, those who draw attention to themselves or do something out of the ordinary that catches her attention.

History: Inoue Miyako was born the youngest of four children. For the most part, her life was normal, though when she was about ten years old or so, she participated in sending mass e-mails to two boys who were fighting an evil entity on the internet. This was how she became one of the Chosen Children, though she didn't know that until two years later, when she was recruited to fight the Digimon Kaiser, along with Iori Hida and Motomiya Daisuke. Two other Chosen Children who had taken part in such an adventure three years earlier also were on the team: Takaishi Takeru and Yagami Hikari.

Her partner was Hawkmon, a smart-mouthed and intelligent bird-type Digimon, who evolved to Holsmon with the aid of the Digimental of Love. Later on, she discovered the Digimental of Purity, which caused him to evolve to Shurimon.

In time, the Chosen Children discovered the Digimon Kaiser they were fighting was a genius child of about their own age, known as Ichijouji Ken. He was under the belief that nothing in the Digital World was real, and when he came to realize that it was, he gave up being evil and after some time and effort, joined their side. Miyako was reluctant to trust him at first, especially as she had had a brief crush on him and finding out his true nature was a shock to her, but she eventually did come to accept him as a teammate and a friend.

Ken wasn't the only danger that Miyako and her new friends faced, however. First came Archnemon and Mummymon, who worked for another person who was revealed later as their creator, and an old friend of Iori's father: Oikawa Yukio. He wanted above all things to go to the Digital World, and in the pursuit of that dream, had offered his body to the spirit of an enemy of the Chosen Children from three years earlier: Vamdemon. Oikawa accidently went to a world that wasn't the Digital World, but a world of dreams made real, where Vamdemon was able to exist on his own, drawing on the power of a group of sad and disillusioned children that Archnemon and Mummymon had gathered together to infect with a Dark Spore, much as Ken himself had once been infected. He appeared in this form as BelialVamdemon, the most powerful version they had ever faced.

The Chosen were, with great good luck, able to defeat BelialVamdemon once and for all, and Oikawa sacrificed his life to restore the ravaged Digital World to all of its former beauty.

After that, there was mostly peace in the Digital World, though every now and then there would be some kind of trouble, just enough so the Chosen know that their destiny to protect two worlds against evil will never truly be finished. But their lives as normal humans keep on going, and seven years after the final defeat of BelialVamdemon, when Miyako is in her first full year of college and studying computer technology, they receive a mysterious call that something is going on in the Digital World. Gathering together and going to see what it is, Miyako finds herself in a world that is not the Digital World, but could be in even more danger.

Since arriving in Econtra, Miyako has found the true love of her life, someone she would have never met under other circumstances: Misawa Daichi. She has also learned that if she had never come here, she would have wound up married to Ichijouji Ken. While he is a good friend of hers, she doesn't consider him in a romantic light, and is more than content to be with Daichi, even though they're from different universes. The fact that both their worlds have some experiences in dimensional travel has encouraged their resolve to remain together no matter what. They are also engaged.
